This painting served as a basic guidline. With the exception of the trees and the distances, the modelling looks the same in the finished film. This also applies to the texturing, the shading and lighting.

So mushrooms and carrots sprout out of the grid, nails were hammered and huts were built...

... and the rest of the environment was formed out of the grey squares: plants, trees, mountains and stones.

The motivation for the colour scheme was, to create an autumnal and warm mood. However, I have not overlooked my favorite colour- magenta! So I used this colour scheme and nothing else to texture the environment and the characters.

Sketch to Model, square to chicken.

The main characters, the wranglers Hensoo, Hogan and Hubert (yes, Hubert!) in the T-pose.
